Very grateful to have sold this piece during the recent annual Recycled Rain Project 2020 show http://recycledrainproject.com/ . The show is comprised of a set of alumni artists with a certain set of those artists and a water conservation organization featured each year. The show itself is an effort to promote water conservation and awareness and a certain portion of the sales go directly to the featured water organization. The artists involved make their works with rainwater they collect themselves. In 2020 the organization was Columbia River Keeper https://www.columbiariverkeeper.org/
My painting is titled ‘Go With the Flow’ and was made using acrylic, gelatos and acrylic markers. In my paintings when there is a triangle web (visible at the top in white) it represents disruption of some nature. In this case it represents clinging, control, uncertainty, chaotic thoughts and anxiety. The boats represent movement towards calm harbors where the self becomes at one, is not separate, is not clinging, is riding the waves of acceptance and trust, freedom, calm and stillness…
