This painting will be based on a art journal page I did a couple of years ago. I have always thought it would be fun to make it into an actual full sized painting. The substrate being used is artist’s canvas board. It is an experiment to see if this board will take a watercolor wash or not as it is usually used for acrylics. The first layer is carefully torn, cut, ripped and placed drafting tape pieces. The second layer is the first watercolor wash with a mixture of Daniel Smith’s Iridescent Electric Blue and Manganese Blue Hue. So far I am liking it!
