Super excited to be notified this morning that a jury has selected me to participate in a benefit show for Architecture For Humanity http://architectureforhumanity.org  Not only is this a great nonprofit organization but resiliency in both social and natural systems is a subject I am very interested in and studied during my graduate work in Social Innovation and Sustainability.  Below is the description of the show:

“The goal of ‘MADE RESILIENT’ is to forge connections between citizens and city. The public Art Show/Auction works in tandem with a private resiliency exercise/charrette held earlier the same evening. The charrette will bring together community members, architects and engineers, non-profit housing experts and local government leaders in a collective call to action. By leveraging the power of collaborative design we hope to generate attainable visions for a greater level of community engagement which will shape a more resilient Portland.
The art show will introduce the general public to themes of resiliency in a fun and informative way through artist interpretation of a ‘Resilient City.’ Proceeds from the auction will be used for AFHpdx’s future resiliency efforts and events.”
