This is a painting titled Self Kachina that I originally did a ‘process painting’ draft of last October when I was really getting to know my now husband. It was a time of learning about myself and my husband and making very big and conscious changes and decisions in my life. Before we got married this past Labor Day I wanted to redo this painting on canvas and saw it as a completion of a cycle in my life and an opening for new beginnings. I also wanted to show it off at the RAW artists showcase debut on the 12th of September. The picture below is not a great picture but I wanted to show you a visual of the finished piece. I’ll post a better picture later.
